0 La Quinta, CA La Quinta, CA Temporary Temporary $17 an hour $17 an hour 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago This is full time- temporary position Concierge Position Description POSITION SUMMARY As Concierge you will report to the Member Services Supervisor and will be greeting all members/guests upon entering the clubhouse, directing them when necessary.
Answering incoming phone lines on multi-line phone system, directing appropriately and/or taking accurate messages.
Performing administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors.
Initial contact for membership prospects and able to provide basic information and accurately relay information to a Membership Sales Manager.
Provide business and personal services to members of the highest level while professionally representing PGA West and Century Golf.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED Customer Service experience required.
Special Event experience preferred.
Knowledge of La Quinta, Coachella Valley and surrounding areas preferred.
Experience within Private Clubs, Hospitality and/or Golf Industry preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Strong communications skills, ability to speak effectively and respectfully before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Extensive software skills and computer knowledge is required.
Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Adobe and Word as well as Internet Research abilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Special Events Support:
Must have the ability to work independently and work well with others.
Strong organizational skills and possess an acute attention to detail.
Duties include but are not limited to assisting Member Services Supervisor with all aspects of event planning, marketing and administrative support.
May require giving direction to other Team Members when working on events or take the initiative to begin the project alone.
Serve as event host to make guests feel welcome and ability to speak effectively before groups of people or Team Members.
Assist in the creation of flyers, posters, table numbers, drink lists, table tents, and special menus.
Concierge Services:
Providing personal services of the highest level that may include, but not limited to, assisting Members with restaurant and special event reservations, accurately take and enter reservations into computer system, recreation requests, floral orders, arranging transportation, etc.
and follow through with all reasonable requests.
Provide administrative support as directed by Member Services Supervisor to all Managers within the club.
Have full knowledge of the club menu and all club functions.
Ability to multi-task:
telephones, computers and guests that are in front of you.
Provide business services for Members such as faxing and copying as needed.
Member Relations:
Responsible for providing, maintaining, and promoting hospitality at the highest level at all times.
Welcoming all Members/guests upon entering the clubhouse in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone.
Initial contact for Membership prospects, able to provide basic information and contact a Membership Sales Manager or accurately obtain name, phone number and address.
Production of Membership cards and welcome packets.
Member correspondence through calls and emails.
Data entry of Members and events into website.
To deliver exceptional customer service.

Administrative and Support Functions:
Communicate well with all staff.
Extensive software skills are required; power point, graphics, excel, word and other relevant software.
Must have knowledge of operation of office equipment.
Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors.
Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, data entry, filing, and faxing.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to multitask and follow up on issues as necessary.
Will spend time working on the computer in fulfilling job requirement.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
